Pn. Farah Naz binti Kumar obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) from Universiti
Utara Malaysia. She underwent pupillage in the chambers of Mr. Thayakugan Rajendram of
Messrs. Md. Tajuddin & Co. Upon successful completion of her pupillage, was admitted and
enrolled as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in June, of 2010. Farah Naz
was offered the position of Legal Assistant at Messrs. Tajuddin & Co. During her years with
Messrs. Md Tajuddin & Co., she had gained experience in litigation, and acted for and on
behalf of clients such as Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Tenaga
Nasional Berhad (TNB), Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN), Bank
Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, and PROKHAS.
Our Farah Naz had also gained experience in handling and conducting various of civil suits
relating to Loan recovery, Breach of Contract, applications for Grant of Probate, Letters of
Administration, Foreclosure Proceedings, Writs, Execution of Judgments such as Bankruptcy,
Winding Up Proceedings, Judgment Debtor’s Summons, Writ of Seizure and Sale, Garnishee
Proceedings, Repossession Order, etc.
With banking litigation, she has handled matters relating to Hire Purchase recovery, Leasing,
Education Loan, Personal Loan/Financing, Housing Loan/Financing, Commercial
Loan/Financing and etc.
In January 2013, she joined Messrs C. Sukumaran & Co., and continues her portfolio in civil
and banking litigation.

Effective, January, 2014, Farah is the Partner-in-Charge of our Kuantan office, and continues
with litigation, for RHB Bank Berhad, RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, Malayan Banking Berhad,
Maybank Islamic Berhad, Affin Bank Berhad, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad, Koperasi Co-opbank
Pertama Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, MBSB Bank Berhad, Malaysia Building
Society Berhad, Bank Pertanian Malaysia Berhad, etc.
She is also the Leader of our newly established Collection Team in Kuantan branch. The Team
is created to assist our respective Clients to achieve their collection target by doing callings
and visitations for defaulted accounts.
Apart from her extensive litigation portfolio, she has also some exposure in conveyance
matters such as preparation of Sale & Purchase Agreement, Loan documentation, Caveats,
etc.
